So you can use it on painted and lacquered finishes too ?

I’m assuming so, from the product description ‘...for use on all gloss & satin hard finishes.’

Yep just googled it and looks like a great product.

At under a tenner too, can’t rate it highly enough. You only need a smidge so it lasts ages!

Amazon at £7.50 + £3.20 postage but it was a quick check. Will check elsewhere for it as well

Amazon are doing the full guitar kit with wax, neck honey and blue bottle for removing smudges etc and a microfibre cloth for £27 plus postage

Dave

what exactly does it do

The wood can dry out over time and it just moisturises and replemishes the natural oils, it also seals it ,  I’ve read it should only be done maybe once or twice a year 🙂

I saw that but when I went to the site I was getting dodgy ads popping up. I know it’s expensive but I think I’m going Gilboys.

I was looking for the kit. I think you might get a tin tho.

I get it from Posh Guitars. Use it on all of my instruments and just about every one of my customer's instruments.

It’s £3.20 postage, that’s £9.95 total 🙂

Just ordered some from Posh Guitars at this price before I went bonkers with the Gilboys! 🙄

Got this following a recommendation from another BC'er. According to the blurb:

  • free of any lemon oil extracts, waxes, petroleum distillates, silicone, and water
  • 100% naturally produced oils and is safe on all unfinished rosewood, ebony and mahogany fretboards

Seems to work fine - I took the opportunity whilst restringing to give my Yammy BB1025's rosewood fretboard a bit of TLC and it's looking a lot happier:

Just also jumped onto the "Gerlitz GNO No.1 Carnauba Guitar Wax" bandwagon from Posh Guitars. Selling for £1 less than Amazon - thanks for the tip off @Frank Blank
