Al Krow
What a lovely bass!! It's actually an MM4 rather than a TM4, which makes it a rarer / harder to find model. It's also got a 3 band EQ rather than the more common 2 band EQ and comes with a hard case, rather than usual Sandberg gig bag. And like my former TM4, the letters on the headstock do seem to easily come loose 😄 GLWTS
Cuzzie
@Al Krow no such model as a Sanberg MM4, this is a beautiful example of an old shape TM2, 3 band electronics seem to be stated in the OP which is cool. Sandbergs are just the absolute nuts, so a very GLWTS to @Franner from me, as you know Sandbergs are a mini specialist subject/obsession of mine! Really? So am I just imagining this? http://www.musicmarkt.ru/БАС-ГИТАРЫ+И+ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ/Бас-гитары/Sandberg/Sandberg+California+MM4+Bubinga.html Edited October 31, 2018 by Al Krow
Cuzzie
Yep The obscure foreign second party resale website is likely to be less accurate than the Sandberg configuration on the manufacturers web site, if you see an MM option on there, give me a nudge
Al Krow
@Cuzzie - please see comment below from wombatboter which would seem to confirm the existence of the mythical MM Edited October 31, 2018 by Al Krow

wombatboter
I used to have a similar bass and it was called the MM at the time....different from the TM I also had. Excellent basses by the way..I've had several basses but this is one I regret selling. I hope someone gets this so I can stop myself from doing something impulsive :-)

IIRC Fender got annoyed so they changed the terms a little.
wombatboter
They changed it on the website but the names were indeed different at the time.... Sorry for the off-topic..fantastic versatile bass and the extra mid-boost is a real gem.

Cuzzie
Yep, could be wrong, happy to be so. Serial number in the 17000 puts it at about 2012 in its heritage, likely to be a TM2 then at that time as that was the name used
