EBS HD350\360 Power 120V/220V?

Hello guys,

I just bought one of these (HD350) and it's on the way to my place.

Got it from a US user, so it's set to operate at 120V with the proper fuse inside.

Do you know if I should make any adjustments to the amp for a 220V operation other than replacing the fuse?

I read some advice here and there but nothing solid.. Some say that it's a class H amp, and I don't know if it's relevant, but also hope I don't have to replace the whole power supply section..

Thanks for the help!

Yeah, EBS guys told me I should replace the power section :(

Correct unless there is a voltage selector switch inside the amp. But if you have been in touch with EBS they would have told you that. It is a US spec 120v model so either a step-down transformer or replace the power section. It could just be a board swap but I bet it won't be cheap.

I guess with the amount of amps around now with switch mode power supplies, it is easy to think that any amp will work anywhere as switch mode ones do.

So this was a really quick fix.

Got the amp, got the toroid transformer and new fuses from EBS.

Everything is connected with jumpers so it's just taking the old transformer out, putting the new one in.

(If anyone needs a US 120V transformer for the HD350... :))
