Chopthebass
I have had my GK 1001 head a long time and like the rest of you I get tempted by new gear! The Darkglass Microtubes 900 caught my eye. Has anyone compared against GK? The only Class D I have owned was Epifani, and I thought it was a bit meh. Do Darkglass rate their amps accurately or do they use magic fairy watts like Behringer?
ezbass
The Darkglass was recently part of the ‘Heft Test’ at the SE bass bash. Here’s a video of all the amps (class 4 vs valve) in action.
Al Krow
West Ham 3 - Man U 1, yup a great day. 30 seconds in and enjoying the video already 😂 ...now onto the heft bit
Al Krow
PS in answer to your question, the DG M900 can go loud. Very LOUD. No magic fairy watts at all here.

Wot he said 😁 It's extremely bloody loud in fact & has all the heft I'll ever need.
Chopthebass
I’ve not read a bad review about the head. Might be worth a punt
