How to ‘bump’ a post

I am interested to see that posts can be bumped without having to post a Bump or TTT post. Posts seem to get to the top but the last post which can be days old is the latest post. Can someone tell me how this is done please.

When you list an item - you get the option next to the ''reply to this topic'' button that says ''bump this topic''. You can click it every 36h(?) or so.

The wanted forum is slightly different, in that the bumping and reply permissions are not enabled.
