The stringing at the Headstock is hilarious

Yes, they haven't quite grasped the concept. It's about 4 miles from me...

Are these any good?

I like the reverse 'burst on the four, but I don't need it and wouldn't play it.  OTOH, the fiver might be more my thing.

They're OK. I remember Maison as a decent midrange MIK brand from the ealy 90s.

Had quite a nice time noodling on one of these at a party a few years back, nice player. Couldn't get much of an idea of how it sounded, through a little practice amp & accompanying haze of alcohol.

I had two, a fretted four and a fretless four. I used the fretted bass as my main player for many years. Pretty light and a decent sound

It'd be really cool if the outer body was translucent...

...but how do you string them?

It’s been a long time, but I believe the E and A strings wind round the posts counter clockwise and the D and G, clockwise

Excuse the string ends - this one is still in the project pile!

Yep - looks like the D & G are correct in the picture. So they're all supposed to be reversed compared to normal.
