If it is legit, it could be a genuine bargain for someone as no reserve. Certainly looks nice!
Stag
one to watch with interest I feel... i mean, the story checks out... good luck if you bid!
Musky
I ain't no expert - I'll bow down to WoT , Beedster, etc. The pictures aren't great but it seems to be ok - tuners seem to be the older nickel type, which ties in with a 76XXXXX serial. Happy Jack
Were the serial numbers always done in such an amateurish fashion? Not having a pop - just curious.

Some have the 76 much bolder than the following numbers, some have the following numbers in a different typeface. Some yeah, I guess so. Marky L
Hmm That's kinda interesting. Swap the PUPs out for some QPs maybe? I suppose if it is original, the bidding should rocket very soon. I'm sorta tempted, but it seems to good to be true you know? I'd love any further advice BCers. I could collect too, not far from my work. Damn.. is this GAS begining?? Curious on this one myself TBH. Maybe even a SD Vintage pup to make it sound 'classic'?

Noisyjon
What d'ya reckon this will go for Clarky? £800-ish?
Clarky
If this had been polished up and presented nicely and there had been better documented provenance, price would be >£1,000. As it is £800 ish sounds about right to me That £800 ish that I don't have! Edited December 3, 2008 by Clarky

Clarky
Up to £560 and still 22 hours to go - looks like there's no bargain to be had here

I think probably not
King Tut
That was the first expensive thing I ever bid for on ebay - in fact only the second of anything I've bid for - and i missed it by £38. Bugger. I would have loved the irony of playing a 'clashalike' bass in a Floyd tribute band heh heh!

A little more battered or mojo'ed, depending on your point of view. Also m/n but then Simonon had both r/w and m/n white P basses http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=220322101754 Edited December 5, 2008 by Clarky
Marky L
I watched and waited and off the bidding went. I would have loved that, but it went a bit too high for me but it did look nice and together. That other one looks nice, but I want a r/w board. Just look at that colour though.. mmmmmmmmmmm creamy
