mojobass
Anyone advise me on the how the bass collection jive necks compare with fender necks? I’ve the chance of a one but I’ve not played one before and just curious as to how the neck profiles differ ( if at all?)
stewblack
He doesn't talk about the neck but at least you have some sound comparisons here
fretmeister
The reviews seem very positive! £395 seems a good deal to me.
Sibob
They're as good, if not a little nicer, as Fender's in the same price range I would say. With regards with dimensions, they're Jazz copies, often with era specific names/features, so they're going to be slim at the nut. I have a Jive and it's very comfortable, although haven't had a Fender Jazz for a few years to compare it to. Si
Ricky 4000
About the neck -- The Bass Center says: Quote With a body profile that has had 4mm shaved from the familiar outline and The Bass Centre's own satin finished "Super Slim 60's" neck profile (significantly slimmer than the classic "C" shape), I had one delivered last week. It's hiding under the sofa at the moment (as it's for my lad, for xmas). And it's a lefty, so I couldn't really play it when I had a quick noodle - but it seems really nice (and as said above - very slim at the nut). 👍 P.S. The Babicz bridge on there looks pretty. 😁 Edited November 14, 2018 by Ricky 4000
Elfrasho
I've had both, the jive was far slimmer and extremely comfortable. Gigged one for a year. Replaced it with a 'real' jazz and I was disappointed.
