fretmeister Posted November 12, 2018 Posted November 12, 2018 (edited) Answer 3. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/markbass-lmt800-tube.583086/ should be good for 5000 hours. I think they are soldered in. Edited November 12, 2018 by fretmeister Quote

Yes, but that's the only ones I could find too other than £25 plus VAT (plus shipping?) at Watford Valves. I agree that desoldering this tube would be tricky. It's most likely lead free solder (RoHS compliant) which is a pig without higher temperature equipment. If you really want a Markbass head with a valve pre I'd strongly recommend one of the older TA series. Edited November 13, 2018 by Sparky Mark Missed a ( Quote
richardd Posted November 13, 2018 Author Posted November 13, 2018 Just had a word with Reel electrics Markbass autherised repairer.£69 plus vat plus tube plus postage. So going to be north of £100. .Expensive tube replacement should you need it.☺ Quote
fretmeister Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 If they are good for 5000 hours perhaps something else is making you think it might be a dodgy tube? Playing amped for 5 hours per week = 260 hours per year = life span of 19 and a bit years. How old is it? Quote
