SkinnyMike Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Ok so I bought a set of Roto Sound swing bass strings the other day and put them on just now. However these strings feel really quite rough I notice they stick to my hands more when I slide up/down the strings. I think it might just be a duff pack but is there anything I could put on them to make them feel more "slippery" Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 I find this with Ernie Ball Strings, less so with Rotosounds. In any case, try FAST FRET. Too waxy for my liking, I prefer coated strings instead (Or DR Fatbeams) But it does make 'em slippery and er... Fast. Quote

M4L666 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) Sweat? Kill the strings? EDIT: Like make the strings dead. Makes sense to me Edited December 2, 2008 by M4L666 Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Are those stainless steel? If you have gone from nickel to stainless streel strings, then they will feel rough and eat your fingers in comparison. Quote

I'm going to get the Fast fret stuff anyway as there's a 1st time for everything Quote
