Weird set of strings

Ok so I bought a set of Roto Sound swing bass strings the other day and put them on just now. However these strings feel really quite rough I notice they stick to my hands more when I slide up/down the strings. I think it might just be a duff pack but is there anything I could put on them to make them feel more "slippery"

I find this with Ernie Ball Strings, less so with Rotosounds.
In any case, try

FAST FRET.
Too waxy for my liking, I prefer coated strings instead (Or DR Fatbeams)
But it does make 'em slippery and er... Fast.

i have the same problem with my rotosound strings,very hard on the fingers.not used anything on them as i think i will change strings soon anyway.thought it was just me!

Are those stainless steel? If you have gone from nickel to stainless streel strings, then they will feel rough and eat your fingers in comparison.

Ahh, that makes sense as the last set of strings I was using was some Nickel wound D'Addario strings and these are stainless steel. I'm going to get the Fast fret stuff anyway as there's a 1st time for everything
