weepaul
I'm tempted, but is it just me or have the frets been pulled out and left un-filled ? https://www.adverts.ie/electric-basses/aria-pro-vintage-bass-guitar/15512666
skidder652003
seems a tad pricey, i picked one up in mansons for £
weepaul
Yeah, thought that. Any info on these ? Active/passive ? Can the electronics be dodgy ?
Hellzero
I would rather buy this one here on BassChat than this slaughtered Aria :
weepaul
Well just found out the frets have been pulled and not filled. New neck ? New board ? Whats a fair price for whats left ?
EMG456
Make a lower offer. Fill the frets yourself - it's not difficult and contrary to popular opinion you don't have to do it with beautifully cut pieces of thin veneer - just use wood filler in your choice of colour! Let it harden and lightly sand it smooth. It's not a vintage Fender although in fairness I have done this before to vintage Fenders! Pretty sure that's what Jaco did originally to his Jazz Bass. I did it quite successfully onan Oldfield which I bought solely for this purpose. As the fretboard was black, I carefully masked the rest of the instrument, and sprayed it with satin black aerosol paint.
weepaul
Thanks guys. Gonna see what the best price is. The electronics could be shot, the neck warped, truss rod busted, so could be looking at just a body.
