I might be posting an instrument to France. According to the Parcel2Go website the maximum insured value for damage is £100, and for loss is only £100, and that's really expensive; over £80.

Is there a company that does insurance for parcels?

Interparcel cover up to £2000 but it's 4% of the value so £2000 = £96.60.

Might be worth investing in some courier company bomb proof packaging, although you'd still be boned if it went missing

If its a bolt on neck, maybe take the neck off....if you don't have a dedicated case for the bass then the package will be smaller and far less likely to be prone damage.

It’s well packaged, it’s already travelled from Kent to me in Birmingham, then down to Bournemouth, it’s a long story that I won’t bore you with 😊. It’s in a Hiscox case, inside a very large box; 120cm x 70cm x 20 cm, wrapped in bubble wrap, with smaller boxes filling up the space.
