donslow Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 (edited) In a move I know I’ll end up regretting I’m looking to sell the neck off of my first (and only) ever bonafide Fender bass I bought this bass after learning to play on (and then selling to fund this) Ibanez basses and quite frankly, love the bass, love the tone, 8 years later, still struggle with the neck and my tiny hands! looking to ideally swap this for something a little less wide and little less thick, admittedly never having tried a jazz bass neck, after much reading, I THINK that is what I am after as I hear they are much nicer to small hands My neck is in as new condition despite being played religiously for the last 7 or 8 years with flat wounds, Frets are fine, truss rod (at heel end) is fine and working and all is as should be This currently resides on my highway one precision and is a 2007 model so it has the dual reinforcement rods which I believe is an upgrade to any made prior to this I’ve no idea what this sort of thing sells for so am happy to be nudged if the price I’ve put is a little on the steep (or low) side. Ideally would like a swap as this is my only bass and gets regular use so I can’t be without a neck for long, happy to listen to trade / part ex / swap offers Inclusion of machine heads in the sale isn’t automatic but can be negotiable any questions (or corrections to info given) throw them my way and I’ll see what I can do to answer as best I can Edited July 3, 2019 by donslow
Guest Marcoelwray Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 That's a tasty one, but I do not believe I have something that could interest you...
donslow Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 Bump-a-lump Rosewood jazz neck still wanted as a trade/swap/part ex binding and blocks ideal but any considered
Studio GC Posted December 28, 2018 Posted December 28, 2018 Still for sale? Sorry I don't have a jazz neck for trade (they do seem to be the most sought after to replace the P bass neck), but if you're ok taking PayPal and can ship your neck, I'd be interested. Thanks! Gunnar
