Bassassin
That's a rarity - early example, passive, single-pickup & 22 frets. Can't remember seeing this version come up before.
songofthewind
Bet it weighs a ton.

The Studio models weighed a ton but the Musician models, AFAIK, are more user friendly. I had the MC824 which is a passive model like this except a PJ configuration and it was fine weight wise. I've never seen one exactly like this Before!
songofthewind
To be sure, my experience of these is limited. A friend had a two pickup fretless back in the eighties, which I think was a Musician. It was a pro instrument for sure, no lightweight. TheGreek
I messaged the seller: the weight of the guitar is 4.4 Kg / 9.6 lbs
warwickhunt
'Slight bow in the neck' - could be absolutely normal relief and he doesn't realise, might need a truss rod tweak but worst case scenario he knows about stuff like this and he is being upfront and warning of a neck issue! You pays your money...
TheGreek
I asked about that... New message from: alanaboo0114(580) Hi micktomazou, its not a job i would attempt myself, if i were to keep it i would have a professional to have a look and set it up. I'm not a bass player and as i stated in my eBay description I bought the guitar as an addition to my studio, Its hardly been used just sitting on my wall in the studio (along with other gear ) for years. So with age chasing me down the road and a lack of motivation! the fact that a laptop and software can replace most of my equipment its time to sell. Bigwan
A work colleague of mine has the exact same model, dating to '78. Very nice. His is a little heavier. He's offered it to me a few times but always when I'm skint!

warwickhunt
Be interested to know how the neck bow panned out if it was a BCer.
Bassassin
Outrageous bargain. A truss rod tweak will probably fix the neck bow, amazing how many people are superstitious/reticent about simple jobs like that.
