Hobbayne Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Been revisiting this album from my early teens. I loved Mark Bedfords bass playing on this and its predecessor, One Step Beyond. But 38 years later, the amount of treble and fret noise has rattled my cage in my old age. Sounds like flats with the top cranked up. I would probably mixed it with more low end. Still, A great album. 👍 Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Bedders has a great style, and usually pretty high in the mix. When we played The 100 Club Madness had been there the night before and their names were on the coat hangers - I simply had to hang my Harrington on Bedders’ coat hanger! 3 1 Quote

Deedee Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Love Madness and was ‘mad’ on them when I was a kid. I’m pretty sure those high in the mix basslines were partly responsible for planting the love of bass in my head. 1 Quote

Entwistle was responsible for my love of flash and technique, but Bedders and John Deacon planted the seed, without me realising it at the time. 1 Quote
kusee pee Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 A superb album with brilliant basslines. A key album from my youth and a ton of really well-written songs. Quote
