arthurhenry
Can anyone identify the bass used in the video for Wizzard's "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday"? It looks very much like a Fender Jazz, but with angled Fender "Tug bars" in place of the pickups. Odd.

EssentialTension
That bass was being used in later stages of The Move and early ELO as well as Wizzard.

EssentialTension
If I remember correctly, it has two Jazz pickups refitted at an angle to cover E-A strings separately from D-G strings; so likely bi-amped thus explaining the extra control knobs. That makes sense, I did wonder if that was it. Thanks for all replies.
Cosmo Valdemar
I've always assumed this is the bass played on Looking On. An immense tone for an immense album.
NikNik
When I was a really young guy......there was a band in Scotland in the '70s called Ignatz. I remember reading International Musician (gear porn) one month and reading an article whereby the bass player had four JB coils placed under each string on his Jazz. I cannot remember the circuitry invloved but it was a true stereo bass, in that in a multiple amp set-up, the strings panned across from SL to SR. I wish I could find that article.
