What to do with Truss Rod adjustment if neck will be off bass for some time?

Will be doing some work on one of my Basses and the neck could be off for at least a couple of months. Should I slacken the truss rod ( as the neck will not be pulling against the string tension) and if so, by how much please?

I'd be inclined to set it flat, just as you'd do when dressing the frets.
