M4L666 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I have had my bass for ages now, and have never considered how good it really was. I am wondering if any guys know what woods it's made from, the scale, all that stuff. It is a Tanglewood Liberty Starter Bass. I love it to bits, so knowing more about it will be well nice. Quote
Brave Sir Robin Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 (edited) hard to tell, no info on the site. http://www.tanglewoodguitars.co.uk/product...amp;view=search Looks nice enough though, for a starter bass. Passive P / J, rosewood FB, body... synthetic? I cant imagine they would contour the body like that if it was wood. Very cheap (sub £120 apparently). Edited December 2, 2008 by Brave Sir Robin Quote

It came with a (crappy) amp as well. Quote

I see from the picture that it has a two-octave neck though (24 frets). I assume that it uses passive electronics, and there is no space for a 9V battery. Can you put it on some scales and see how much it weighs? S.P. Quote
