Conan Posted December 6, 2018 Share Posted December 6, 2018 Quite a canny little video - but It's a shame that so many people equate the "slap tone" with heavily scooped mids. It doesn't have to be like that, and if done carelessly can cause the bass to disappear in a mix. This was a hard one to balance between explaining something that is common and sought after (scooped mid sound) and trying to give an alternative (added mids at the end of the vid) as you mentioned.
