Maude
Oh no, that's a shock. He couldn't have been that old could he? Maybe noise annoys, but not the noise you made Mr. Shelley. Thank you.

Lozz196
A great shame, never got to meet him despite playing on the same bill a few times, The Buzzcocks were part of my youth, seems all to real when your childhood faves pass away. Cat Burrito
I finally saw them this year in Bath, having been a fan since I was a kid in the early 80s. That gig is all the more poignant now. RIP Pete.

madshadows
Terrible news, one of my favourite bands in my youth, perfect 3 minute pop punk tunes, RIP Pete John
Low End Bee
RIP Pete. Great band. Amazing pure pop songs. Saw them for the first time in 1978 and they made me want to start a band. Those first three albums and that run of UA singles are perfection. When I asked him for gigging advice I was told "drink champagne instead of beer before the show so you don't feel bloated" Will raise a glass to that.
Barking Spiders
As a kid The Buzzcocks meant much more to be than the Pistols and The Clash. and PS was underrated as a solo artist esp his Homosapien album. RIP Pete Shelley Edited December 7, 2018 by Barking Spiders

Roger2611
Gutted, one of the true founders of the Manchester punk scene, we saw them in Leeds earlier this year, I never thought it would be the last time I would see them......RIP Pete
spongebob
RIP Pete. I was thrilled to see them back in '93, not too long after they'd relaunched. They'd released a new album at the time as well, and it was great to see them on the up again. Less than a year later, they were out with Nirvana! Place was tiny, so we were right up close. Awesome gig. He had such a way with melody and delivery. Those records are timeless. I really like the later stuff he wrote at the end of their first incarnation - stuff like 'Strange Thing' - really underrated.
