Getting a pic by your name

Just a quickie, as I'm a newbie, how do I get a pic by my name. I've had a look and only seem to have got it in my profile bit. Everyone else has got some wierd or cool one by their names. It's obviously easy but I'm missing something completely. How come I'm so stupid when I don't even play drums?

My control settings

Under personal settings on the side menu go to edit avatar settings
