BassMunkee
Here it is: It plays and sounds Beautiful. Really amazing - I have never had an active bass before, so it's a revelation. The only thing I have noticed is a small imperfection in the finish on the headstock - it's very small and given the amount of time it's taken to get the damn thing, I think I might just dial down my quality filter... ...but other than than that, could not be happier. Tait
thats cool, i played one of these when looking for a new bass and it was absolutely excellent. as is all ibanez stuff, though. these are very cool looking, too. has anyone seen the checked version of these in black and white checks? they are one of the coolest looking basses out. on another note, shouldn't this really be in gear porn? ive noticed a few threads creeping into the gear: basses section that should really be in gear porn. I am more than happy to pix of it all over the shop to be honest... I'll stick some in there later.

cytania
Tried one of these out in the wonderful MORMusic shop in York on Wednesday. Very different sound from the Ibanez I already have. SRX is very bright, very piano. The Iceman base has got more thud and thunder. Previous player had left it in drop D with volume turned low for a dirty rock sound. Very impressive. Sits on the knee great. How is it on the strap? Neck stud is in the middle of the bolts I think...
Protium
I've always been a fan of that shape. Very nice

markytbass
I was tempted by one I saw on ebay the other week. It was only up the road in Peterlee, it had block inlays and white binding, looked nice.
