Muzz Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 For a given value of 'good', certainly... 😀 Quote
BreadBin Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I like Luca's work, definitely prefer the Maiden number to the original. Quote
Drax Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Fun party trick. I guess no matter how many necks you add to your guitar your can’t escape the logistics of 2 hands. Quote
skidder652003 Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 those nails made me feel a bit queasy! 1 Quote

Newfoundfreedom Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 All Iron Maiden songs sound good. With the possible exception of the Blaze Bayley years. 2 Quote

I used to be a huge Maiden fan but I have to concede that 'dum diddle um diddle um' is a pretty accurate description of a lot of their material. It's practically their signature sound. Paul S Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 To be fair I like a few of their songs - have played a couple - but soon tire of them for that reason. Seems to me the main difference is the speed at which the galloping horse moves Quote
PawelG Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 From all this acoustic stuff Andy McKee blows my mind since the day one. Quote

I think up to Somewhere In Time they were ok... and then they just used a machine to make songs, which were all very similar indeed. Quote
Barking Spiders Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 Soz IM fans but to my ears they're one of the worst perps viz pointless by rote widdling and cod operatic warbling, two of the worst musical sins. And I really dislike the bass playing cos of the constant galloping technique and the rattling trebly tone. Quote
