Mesa WD800 Warranty

I'm thinking of purchasing a Mesa WD800 from the USA.  Does anyone know if the warranty would be valid here?

No it probably will not. Warranties are usually handled by the dealer/distributor. So you'll have to send it back to the dealer you bought it from.

That's what I thought, but Mesa is very reliable so may be worth the risk and save £200

As chris_b says, probably not, but some manufacturers have International warranties, so maybe a check on Mesa's website, or an email. I would imagine musicians working on cruise ships encounter this sort of thing all the time.

Don't forget that if you are importing it into the UK you will have to pay duty on it plus VAT @ 20% on (cost + shipping + duty)

Not all Mesa gear has been reliable for me. Ive had an intermittent horn problem in a cab, and a Titan V12 that kept overheating.

Westside Distribution deal with Mesa over here.

 

They are massively unhelpful with grey imports. Not a surprise as it cuts into their sales.
