stewblack
Inexpensive little piece of rubber. Lazy old git like me who can't be arsed to turn around and use a stand half the time but would rather take the risk of sliding, falling, and ultimately dented instruments; well, this is perfect. josie
This is more expensive but a *lot* safer (other suppliers are available) https://www.eaglemusicshop.com/prod/banjo-music-mic-foot-stands/pub-prop.htm
stewblack
Yours does look very secure, if I was out in public that would be better - but then I'd use a stand if I was out. Mine is extremely secure, certainly enough for using around the house.
mr zed
I'm not going to try and work out how much a little piece of rubber would have saved me over the years!

I need that too, it’s perfect for my studio desk. Do you have a link for it? (also if I buy this, will I break the rules in the ‘no bass GAS purchases in 2019’ thread?) I think this will keep the 2019 gas policy safe, as it could be seen as a preventative measure.
project_c
Hmm, I bought one, and it's a little temperamental, basses are slipping. Is it working for you?

Didn't work for me - that's why I went for the more expensive Pub Prop (see above).

Totally works for me. The rubber sticks to the surface of both bass and desk. I even used it on a snare drum the other day. Perfect.

Yeah I’ve since put it in a different place on the desk and it seems to be fine now.
