dmccombe7
Someone got me a book on Guitar Family Trees but its more about guitars. Got some new stagegear for our Glam Rock covers band from the guy who made The Glitter Band outfits. Our drummer was in the band during the 90's and managed to get us a great deal, enough so that i ended up with one full matching purple jacket and trousers and one blue jacket. I'll see about getting the trousers to match after the festive period has settled down. Lots of satin and sequins Dave Edited December 26, 2018 by dmccombe7 Adding a pic 1
tony_m
My OH got me Barry Matthews' "Fender Bass for Britain" and Barrie Midford-Millership's "The Mighty Hybrid and The Keeper of The Slabs" books, and I've just bought myself Geddy Lee's book. Just need a new bookshelf to keep them on now...

Keys player decided it was too much hard work for him and left. We will be meeting up with a new keys player early January tho. He used to play with the band Racey in the 90's. Hopefully that works out and if he's a fast learner we can get gigging within couple of months. Dave

bassbiscuits
I got some pyjamas so I can get a good night's sleep and play bass properly the next day. Does that count?

This is something I’ve wanted to do for years, especially as I’m working with ‘proper’ musicians these days. So yes, this 54 year old is going back to school and I couldn’t be more excited 😎 So first lesson was this morning, and I loved it! Lots to learn, and I need to work on my left hand technique, but great fun. Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks 😎
