ianrendall
I have just somehow wandered upon the Amphonic Music series of recordings by the Syd Dale Orchestra. I am grinning ear to ear. This is my weird happy place. Here’s a sample.

BreadBin
Makes me want to go outside and slide across the bonnet of my car, whilst wearing a massive belt-up cardigan!

ianrendall
Here’s another classic. Instantly recognisable. I believe these tracks were written as production music, designed to be underscores to factual television programmes of the 50s - 70s. Reggaebass
I actually quite like these tunes, reminds me a bit of Kojak 😀
pineweasel
I remember library music like this becoming popular in the mid 90s. There were a number of great compilations released at the time, such as this one: https://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Sound-Gallery/release/608134
ahpook
Library music...brilliant. When the Internet was a bit moist and still waiting for its topcoat, Mrs. Pook did some multi-media design work for KPM, a big library music library company. We got freebies of dozens of their CDs....anyhow, we both had a fantastic time listening to their output. You could have a whole evening of car chase music or tense stake-out tunes. ianrendall
Nickelodeon classic Ren & Stimpy made good use of library music.
ianrendall
I actually made a short video for my uni course promoting National Guttering Day using production music. It was a music test piece for a larger 30 min project about a local body piercer and close friend. I won’t link to the main project as it’s NSFW - it is on my channel though if you want to see it - but here is the guttering video. Cringe.
