I am a retired UK bassist living in France on a meager UK pension, (AHhhhhhhh...........) I am in need of a spare part (rubber toggle switch grommet) for a renovation project . I have trawled the net and only found one source of supply, great! Not particularly cheap (7.50$) not so great; Postage 13.50$ Terrible !!! The supplier says he cannot ship any cheaper, but I have just received two sets of bass strings from USA for 8.00$, (the grommet only weighs about 5grammes.) So, question is, is there anybody in US I can have this grommet mailed to who is prepared to forward it by the cheapest letter post ? I know I ought to be posting on the oppositions site, but I am a staunch supporter of BC !! Any proposals gratefully received and any reciprocal favors can be discussed. B.Flat Posted January 1, 2019 Author Share Posted January 1, 2019 I have made a very extensive search for this item, it is the cream rubber grommet for the toggle of an Ibanez RS924. It is not available from Ibanez and secondhand ones are likely to be perished. I do not have a photo but the above reference should pull up an internet image.
