The body had been stripped, frets removed, the action was poor and the J pickup was very quiet. I did plan to refinish it but I quite liked its rugged good looks so just tru-oiled it. I also swapped the J pup for one of the higher spec Alan Entwistle ones. Both pickups now sound good. Note: Although if you turn them both up together they seem to compete rather than complement one another. Controls are Vol, Vol, & Tone. It is lightweight and now has a nice feel and it has plenty of mojo. It is usable and the action is now better but I have listed it as a project as it would benifit from more work and sorting. This is reflected in the price. At the moment it would suit someone who wants to have a shot at fretless or who is happy do finish it off properly as I have now moved on to other basses.
