Al Krow
I've got a SA Manta and am thinking of whether to stick with my MXR BEF as its board mate or maybe swap the BEF for either the GR2 or Xerograph Deluxe. If you could save just one of these three highly regarded filters from the proverbial fire, which one would it be and why? Or would you go for another filter altogether? paulo m
I have a GR2 on my board & they are becoming rarer to find !!!!!! expect to pay anything up to£200 to get your hands on one of em!!!!!!!!its the best envelope filter ive come across....its range of useable sounds are very interactive with drives & octave pedals....& its just a very flexible filter with a plethora or sounds available.....I sold my MXR B.E.F to myself it was way to quacky & with lazer beam like effects & somehow it got lost in the band mix? it simply didnt cut or project for myself what-so-ever.... i have no experience of the other pedal on this list. itu
I have several IEs including a Xerograph DeLuxe. Settings are wider than some other manufacturers have and that relates to handling. Only a small change may change the sound quite a lot. But then different settings are different sounds. I suggest buying a set of StompShields: https://www.thomann.de/gb/stompshield_the_stompshield_kit.htm
