Fionn
Folks. How would I go about adding a clean boost circuit to one of the channels of a basic Fender ABY pedal (like the one pictured below)? I have both an active and passive bass plugged in simultaneously. The clean boost on one of the input channels would be to bring the output of the passive bass in line with the active bass without involving an additional preamp. It’s a standard reversible ABY pedal (2 inputs to 1 output/ 1 input to 2 outputs). It’s a passive switch. The 9v supply is for the LED. Incidentally, I never use the ‘A and B’ switch to activate both channels simultaneously. I only ever use the ‘A or B’ switch to switch between one or the other, so that element of the pedal could be sacked. Your thoughts/ advice would be most appreciated. jrixn1
Is this a question specifically about modding your existing pedal, or generally looking for other options/suggestions? If the former, I can't help; if the latter, perhaps a Boss LS-2 (active) or a Bright Onion AB (passive).
jrixn1
Sorry, I thought this was "Effects". But it's "Repairs & Technical" so you probably meant the first option!
Fionn
Thanks for that. Aye, I’m aware of those two options, but I’d prefer to mod the one I’ve got, if it’s not too much of a ball-ache
