Hobbayne Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 (edited) Interesting interview from bassist Klaus Voormann, who played on John Lennons' Imagine album. Comes across as a really nice bloke. https://www.rockcellarmagazine.com/2019/01/11/john-lennon-imagine-interview-voorman-keltner-molland/?fbclid=IwAR3d5WAvLWfq1SDBEzwMezeMROPQHg9dglUfsaG8drFoJBVJNsgftvMTEDw Edited January 12, 2019 by Hobbayne 1 4 Quote
Buzzy Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Thanks for posting this, Klaus is one of my favourite players. Quote
chris_b Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Klaus is a cool guy. He has a great take on bass playing, minimalism and great tone. His simple style was an influence in the early 70's. 1 Quote

And so one of the greatest bass intros was born! 👍 Quote

I highly recommend it! He seems like such a lovely guy. And of course, his artwork is incredible. Edited January 17, 2019 by Cosmo Valdemar spelling Quote

petebassist Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Thanks for sharing. I watched Above Us Only Sky over Christmas, a brilliant rock-doc, and of course Klaus features in that. Seems like a lovely guy and a great bassist. Quote

Klaus was perfect ... +1 or is that +3? He is one of my favourite bassists. Nothing flash but serves the song. Great sound. Especially like his bass playing on Plastic Ono Band. Love his bass, too.
