Jimmy Page couldn't complain about being plagurised. He was Rock's greatest tea leaf.

I read somewhere that he blatantly pinched Dazed And Confused and passed it off as his own. The original composer never got a look in.

Blatantly pinched pretty much all of their songs more like!

I'm no fan of Led Zep but in their defence, the Blues is such a basic, formulaic and predictable genre of music, due to the very limited number chord progressions, inevitably all songs are gonna sound more than similar to many others anyway. There are just so many times you can wake up in the morning feeling a bit p1$$ed!

Arnold Payne

20th Nervous Breakdown

Voodoo Style

Sharp Dressed Nan

I know imitation is supposed to be flattery, but this bloke is just taking the wossname.

If anyone wants me, I'll be in the studio recording my newly written songs 'Subway To Heaven' and 'Eleanor Rugby'.

Wow everyday I find a good reason to feel ashamed to be (luckily only half) Italian

:) Vivaldi, Verdi, Puccini, Corelli, Paganini, Respighi, Pavarotti, Bartoli, Morricone and - er - Zucchero are all good musical reasons to be proud of being (half) Italian :)

I always thought that they were just following the grand blues tradition of taking a song, re-working it and passing off as their own. Exactly who did write 'Dust My Broom' ( to pick one example out of countless blues standards)??

BTW, I believe 'Dazed & Confused' was based on a Bob Dylan song, which itself may have been based on an earlier tune...

before I'd be proud of Zucchero I'd shoot in my balls

Led Zeppelin were the biggest plagiarists in the history of Rock, especially from obscure Blues artists. Ultimately it gives a whole new meaning to "The Song Remains The Same".

@oZZma & @Barking Spiders, have you guys ever thought about those people in the UK who are not half Italian, and what they are instead?

There. In one sentence, I think I've removed quite a lot of your shame.

You can buy me a beer later.

:hi:

Bugatti (the company) is french. (obviously Ettore was himself italian).

Bugatti the company were steadfastly Italian from 1909 to 1963 and again from 1987 to 1995. The current company bearing the name might be headquartered in France, but I think their history makes them rather more Italian than French, certainly spiritually.

The company were originally headquarted in Alsace, originally in Germany then later part of france. AFAIK they've never been based in Italy.
