Hutton
My son has a newly purchased used G&L L2500 tribute series. As well as a couple of buzzes there is an electrics problem. The passive circuit is fine, however when switching to active a loud hum comes from the amp and the volume drastically reduces. Any ideas anyone? Woodinblack
Have you checked the battery? If its not that then a wire has come off the battery probably. On a normal G&L 2500 and a decent amp, it is very hard to tell the difference between passive and active (active with treble boost is more noticable).
Hutton
Problem solved. One of the battery terminals was loose. Phew! Many thanks!
