wrong fingers Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) Hi, I enjoy trying to play the guitar and I have been trying for more years than i can remember. I have recently bought a Ryder classical guitar about which I know nothing. On the internet I have found a Ryder Guitars site but it is no longer in business - http://www.guitarsite.com/database/Makers/rec/8988/ . The site says "A fantastic collection of guitars based on vintage styles and developed in the UK by leading professional guitarist, Mark Griffiths". Can anybody offer any advice please. Thanks Edited January 18, 2019 by wrong fingers correction Quote

Shazeroo Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Hi - having just got a Sue Ryder classical guitar myself to learn on I've been trying to find out more information about it too. I eventually found the original Sue Ryder guitar catelogue archived listings and it says this... Ryder RC-1 Classical Guitar Description A Ryder RC-1 classical cutaway guitar. Bridge: rosewood. Hardware: traditional. Body: Top: solid spruce. Back & Sides: rosewood laminate. Neck: mahogany. Fingerboard: rosewood. Ref: 5437 £139.99 I got mine yesterday so am a complete beginner - but the sound just from strumming the strings (as yet untuned) is wonderful, a really lovely tone. 2 Quote
Manwithvan Posted November 14, 2024 Posted November 14, 2024 Interesting coincidence - I was playing a gig with Mark Griffiths the weekend before last. We had a friend in common who died recently. I didn't know of his involvement with Sue Ryder, but will pass on Shazeroo's comments on the tone. Quote
