My really nice Tanglewood Roadster Travel TWR BE Electro Acoustic Lined Fretless Bass in really good used condition..

Having owned a few Kala U Basses and even  a Goldtone Micro Bass, in my humble opinion this is a far superior Travel Bass.

The action on this is  far lower than any other Travel, Micro or U Bass I have owned, or played which I always found to be to high.

i know it's a personal thing, but I also couldn't get used to the rubbery type strings, where as the Black Nylon flat wound fitted to this are a joy to play, plus they seem to hold their tuning a lot better and the intonation seems better - at least to my old cloth ears.

The lined  fretboard also assists intonation  and the Bass is  loud enough to hear in a small room, so ideal to pick up and have a 'noodle' without having to connect to an amp - when you do play it through an amp the sound is rich, deep and produces that lovely 'woody' dry sound.

The built in preamp is a doddle to use,  the tuner is really good and can be used acoustically again without having to connect to an amp.
