Is there such a thing?

I’ve recently replaced the 0.1uf cap in my P bass for a 0.47uf cap. While I do like the sound of the new cap, I also like the sound of the old one. Does a knob exist with both a tone control and a selector? Perhaps a push-pull? I know I could put in a multi-way switch but I don’t want to drill any holes in the scratchplate.

Thanks for that. Yes I have found a number of sources but I do have two concerns.

1. The pots on my P are of the solid shaft variety held in place with a grub screw. I cannot find any push pulls with a solid shaft.

2. Is the control cavity deep enough to accept the depth of the push pull pot. I’d have to get my screwdriver out for that one I guess.

1, shouldn't be an issue. You can use the same control knob. Just ensure the grub screw is lined up with the split in the shaft.

2, yep, that could be a problem.

Cheers @BassBunny

I could put in a small metal shim in the split to create a faux solid shaft.
