Bassassin Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Like it a lot, looks way better than the standard cheap-looking white. Puts me in mind of the original 1950s 4000, which had gold plastics. IMO works really well with Fireglo. Quote
Marc S Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Funnily enough, I usually think that a white pickguard looks "cheap" on a bass - especially on a black bass But white looks OK on a Rick, and it seems on most colours it looks OK, or good. White looks pretty good on a sunburst Rick, but the gold plate is definitely an improvement - so that's a yes from me Quote
Delberthot Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 I am making a small modification to my one and changing to a black scratchplate, pretty much because I have a sheet of black scratchplate material. Traditionally the TRC is the same colour as the scratchplate so I am planning on making myself one in black as well Quote
