From another thread, there were 3 different "Power of Loves" in the UK charts during 1985 alone!

Here may follow a list of different songs with the same title (not covers of the same song).

Over to you, pop pickers! 👍

And before any of those there was Money by The Beatles which was in itself a cover.

I always thought it a bit cheeky of Limp Bizkit to release a song called 'My Generation'. I mean, that's iconic isn't it? It's like a boy band releasing an inane song and calling it Bridge Over Troubled Water or something.

Aye, originally (I think) by Barret Strong, covered by The Beatles, then by the Flying Lizards. And probably more. 👍

Other songs of the same title in 1985[edit]

This was the last of three singles in the British top 100 with the title "The Power of Love" in 1985. The other two were "The Power of Love" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, which peaked at No.1 in December the previous year, and "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News, which peaked at No.9 three weeks before this song hit No.1.

So “Shut Up” is ahead at this early stage with “Only You” a close (or distant) second (or not, as the case may be).

Six seems hard to beat....

I've just written 9 songs called "Cars". They're not very good, but Gary Numan only wrote one, so I think that makes me a winner. 👍

And that's 10 all together. 😁

We have a winner then. Assuming that you can post all nine of your new songs on here for us to listen to?

Neil Sedaka and the O'Jays did Stairway To Heaven. And some rock band too apparently.....Far Corporation.

So did the notorious Antipodean kiddie fiddler who's name we cant mention.
