I enjoyed a not dissimilar experience having learned Van Morrison's Domino. In my defence they had. Brown Eyed Girl on their list so I just assumed they liked V the M.

What on earth is a Jessy Jay? I was heard to ask. Literally no idea.

I had this. But I actually found I liked both songs...

Angel Eyes - Abba

Angel Eyes - Roxy Music

Angel Eyes, written in 1946 and recorded by Frank Sinatra and fifty others. Nothing new under the sun.

Aye, originally (I think) by Barret Strong, covered by The Beatles, then by the Flying Lizards. And probably more. 👍

And I also remember a version by

Bern Elliott and the Fen men.

Yikes! 😌

"Diana" - Comus

"Diane" - Husker Du

not exactly the same title but the curious coincindence is that both songs are about rape.

Bryan Adams recorded a song called Diana, though it was about trying to lure some woman away from a bloke called Charles.

My first thought was, Wishing Well, due to knowing both songs recorded by Black Sabbath & Free. But a quick check on Wiki and it would seem to be quite a popular song name,

Angel eyes - Jeff Healey Band

Angel eyes - Wet Wet Wet

Angel Eyes - Eyeopener (i believe that's the band name)

And also Jerry Cantrell has a song Angel Eyes on his second solo album :)

How about “Animal”? I can think of Pearl Jam and Def Leppard immediately, sure there are plenty more :)

Ship of Fools seems to be another popular song name - The Doors, John Cale, Robert Plant and others.

Also a song by World Party, great!
