pram_01
For sale Bassix RC Interchangeable electric upright bass. Looks really good (see pics) with "blonde" deluxe side moulding. The bass is made of composites (looks and feels like wood and begins to warm up as you play). It comes with adjustable bridge, presto nylon strings, a pre-amp and an EQ which makes the sound extremely versatile. Here is a review that I found on the web: "with the treble rolled off and the bass slightly boosted you get the classic double bass tone, wonderful for jazz etc. However bring the treble up to about midway, and suddenly you can start to get those D&B sounds out of it, still double bassy but with a little honk, push it a little futher and you can get the more fretlessy sounds similar to the NS design bass's. and very similar to a DB". Good for both pizzicato and bowing. It takes only a couple of minutes to assemble/disassemble the bass. It includes nice gig bag (see pic). Here are some reviews. I am only selling because I will be leaving the country soon. A new one of these would cost £1200 and you would have to wait at least a month to get it. As I said this one is in AS NEW CONDITION. I am asking now only £800. PLEASE LOOK AT THE FOR SALE SECTION FOR UPDATES Edited February 18, 2009 by pram_01
bassace
I think Linus should have it as a logical progression from his Stagg. Doesn't he live near Guildford? Edited December 5, 2008 by bassace
