Busman
Help Please! This is probably an easy answer for someone who knows what they are doing! I have a Westone Concord II Bass which has been sitting unused (it was my first bass). Thought I would clean it up and refurbish. Noticed some cracking and corrosion on the pickups so thought I would try replacing them (P & J). Found some Toneriders and the JAZZ TRJ1 has arrived but has two wires whereas the current pickup has three wires, any ideas (looks like the P will also only have 2 wires)? Found this wiring diagram but isn't helping me as a first-timer with the DIY on a bass: http://www.westoneguitars.net/fixme/wiring-diagrams/concord-ii/ Many thanks for any help and advice. fleabag
Maybe this... The third wire is probably connected to shielding inside the PUs. With this wiring arrangement, the PUs could be wired in series and still have the PU shielding connected to ground.
