prowla Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 I've got a Warwick RB 5-string bass body and neck for a project... My first task is to find some screws to attach them together. Now, Warwick do sell them, but the postage is more than the parts and I really need to keep to a sensible budget since it's an RB. Any ideas where to get Warwick parts in the UK? Quote
dyerseve Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 (edited) ive got some old neck screws from a Warwick that you are welcome to have but they need the bushings which Im sure I dont have sadly. did you get any bushings with the neck or the body? they look like this: https://shop.warwick.de/en/Parts+for+Instruments/?&lang=en&/en/Parts+for+Instruments/Screws,+Nuts,+Washers/Framus+and+Warwick+Bushing+for+Bolt-On+Neck+Joints,+5+mm+-+Gold&modul=shop&site=article_details&article_id=D0516578001472733878A49757&article_category=D0337191001342166555A327&collection_id=D0514600001539870578A697 I dont know of anywhere in the UK to get these parts sorry Edited January 29, 2019 by dyerseve Quote

The body had 2 bushings and was missing two. Yes, I checked them on the Warwick site, but the postage is £10, which is more than the items and the budget is tight on rebuilding an RB... Quote
Guest Marcoelwray Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Oh. I had those and I could mailed them to you but I clean all my spare parts I didn't use.... You don't necessary have to look for Warwick parts.... Quote
prowla Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Thanks - the bass now has its neck attached. And a set of (old) strings on it. Next step is some pickups. This is it and its pals. Quote

I think it's JST, R5 is the connector size. JST, I have no idea… Jack Socket Tube? edit: JST is a brand of connector. Stands originally for Japan Solderless Terminal. rmcki Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 So the smaller R5 connector has 2mm centers for the pins, I bought it by mistake, I needed the R4 with 2.5mm centers. Quote
rmcki Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 I suppose it will all depend on which preamp you choose to install. Quote
prowla Posted February 11, 2019 Author Posted February 11, 2019 Thanks for the info - so it’s the same fit barrel socket with just a different connector on the other end. Quote

Guest Marcoelwray Posted February 11, 2019 Posted February 11, 2019 You still can cut the connector and weld (or "solder", honestly I don't know) the wires Quote
