set screw / grub screw size for japanese fender bass saddles?

I'd like to buy some shorter set screws for my japanese squier fender bass saddles, but I can't find out what size i need -  M3, M4 etc.

Can anyone help please?

If you look for metric screws for Japanese Fender bridges you'll get a choice of lengths depending upon how low you want the action.  I don't know how that translates into the thread diameter but this sort of thing would be fine - I've bought several before in order to prevent shredding my hand on the pokey out bit.
