stewblack Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Don't know if any of you have heard of the baking soda / super glue trick but here it is... Quote
Count Bassy Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I thought it looked better before she painted it pink. 1 Quote
stewblack Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 I know what you mean about the colour but the hole filling hack looks really useful. Quote
Paul S Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 There was some talk a while back of using backing soda and superglue to fix a broken nut as the two together make an incredibly hard thing. Parsimonious fellow that I am, I used that tip and adapted it to glue together a pair of Mrs S's spectacles where the little thingumeebob that holds the arm into place had snapped, preventing the little screw from biting into anything. Worked a treat - albeit the arm is now fixed and not able to fold in. No point wasting £1 on another pair! 1 Quote

Paul S Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Absolutely. Not point setting a precedent. 😁 Quote

fleabag Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Matching that record case colour was always going to be tricky, but that method would be much easier on black Tolex, i would think Quote

Bought a 2nd hand amp has a couple small scuffs need fixing. Going to try this method on an old tatty one first. Quote
fleabag Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Go for it Stew - good luck. Maybe a before and after shot would be in order Quote
