Born 2B Mild Posted February 14, 2009 Author Posted February 14, 2009 For those bringing amps, (and Sorry if it's teaching grandma to suck eggs) please bring mains extension cables/multi-adaptors. It's a decent size room, but sockets are spread about somewhat. Quote

TK4108 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 All, I just got home from Bass Bash. I had a great time. I wanted to thank everyone for their great hospitality. (No, it's not just because I won a raffle prize!) I'll have pictures posted soon. Cheers! Matthew Quote
Adrenochrome Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Yeah, Yorkshire Bass Bash '09 was excellent! Big thanks to Phil for organising this event, and for Keith for the raffle and all the money raised for a great cause from that. For me, it was great to put faces to names. It was the first time I'd tried headless basses, fanned-fret, 6 -string, 9-string and Chapman stick, EUB (first upright bass of any sort), as well as many other quality basses of many varieties. Thanks so much to all of you for sharing. BTW Prose' maple necked black jazz with the bridge humbucker is the business! Jon Quote
Al Heeley Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 +1, great afternoon, thanks guys for all the organising and Jim for the talk and a go on the 9-string. awesome. Good to meet a lot of faces. Quote
ARGH Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 PICS PICS PICS.... I saw tons of stuff, but didnt know whose or what it was.... anyone? Quote
wateroftyne Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Hi all! What a fab afternoon... thanks to B2BM and all the folks for organising it. Just a shame I had to leave so early but I feared Mrs. WoT was eating all the cake at Betty's. Lots of great people and good stuff.. I'm terrible with names, so I'm looking forward to seeing the photos so I can remind myself who I was talking to! It was nice hearing my fretless being played by people who play the fretless properly. A real eye-opener. Loved the Genz 212XT, and the DR Bass 1260.. Prosebass and Skelf's creations were great, too. Thanks again to all involved! Quote
