12stringbassist
Out now on Amazon - who have (quite helpfully) temporarily slashed the price a bit to help it get moving... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.com/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.de/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.fr/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.es/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.it/dp/179435915X https://www.amazon.it/dp/179435915X Astonishingly, in its first couple of days, it went to #1 in music reference books in the UK. The first Slade #1 since '73.

jezzaboy
Cheers for the heads up re the book. But I bought it for the Kindle as it`s my preferred way of reading but the book format doesn`t transfer to the Kindle very well so I will return the electronic copy and buy the book.

mikel
Great band and under rated musicians. My bro and his mates went to see Slade for a laugh back in the day. They still say its one of the best gigs they have ever attended.

Had it as a Christmas present in 1972 (I think). In the late 70s/early 80s they used to do an annual Christmas gig at Brum Odeon, which were consistently great nights out. And they influenced Prince’s spelling, the daft Black Country rockers!
12stringbassist
It is being reviewed in the next issue of Shindig (#89, Velvet Underground on the cover). It got a really good review. Hopefully the other music mags will follow suit.
