BassBod
The empty top slot would have an SWR Interstellar Overdrive in it..but I’ve never seen one I could afford 😳

The 1140 and 1144 are actually slightly different. The 1140 is the studio version and the 1144 is the instrument version and having owned both ya the same time and A/B them, they do sound surprisingly different. I sold the 1144 and just kept the 1140 1
BassBod
The other contender would be an Alembic SF2 filter, but they cost even more. The SWR eq unit (Mr Tone Controls) is line level and very comprehensive, but also has a bypass switch 🤪

jensenmann
My bass rack: Peavey Alpha tube Bass Preamp (used for fretted basses) Selfmade Preamp for my Wal fretless TC2290 Delay/Looper KMT DC5 poweramp Currently not installed due to repair is a Yamaha SPX990 multieffect which sits in the stereo effect loop of the TC2290. I´m using it for reverb with the fretless Bass.
BassBod
FET Bassman...do tell me more! I love my F2B, but I’m not convinced the valves are the secret. A FET version with passive eq has always been of interest 😜
jensenmann
My FET Bassman is not what the name suggests. It consists of a FET-transistor input stage, followed by a modified API 553 inductor EQ. The three switchable frequencies for each band are adapted to my taste and work very well with my Wal fretless. It doesn´t sound like a Fender Bassman at all. My Peavey is closer to a Bassman than the FET pre. Here´s some internal p*rn:
Passinwind
My old living room bass rig, missing another rack or two: DIY bass head and DIY preamp/power amp: Another old bass rig, big blue thing is a homemade tube preamp:
