prowla
It looks a nice guitar, but if it was made for Jimmy Page and is (tentatively) authenticated by his guitar tech, then why doesn't it belong to Jimmy Page? https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/gibson-1960-les-paul-custom-shop-made-for-jimmy-page-1992-sunburst/1331567300 (Either way, I haven't got a spare £20k, so I think I'll give it a miss.) Islander
Why would you sell something as unusual as that on Gumtree anyway?
TheGreek
Your average Gumtree-er has £20k to spend on instruments allegedly owned by celebrity musicians. Don't bother with places like Sotherby's.....
Hellzero
20K for a Yamaha hard case is a bit expensive, isn't it ? I know those period correct hard cases are hard 🤣 to find, but you'll get a free real guitar made with drawers discoveries and impossibile to identify, furthermore stolen by a former Gibson non employee... Nice story there. 😁
Happy Jack
So the 'official' proof of provenance states: I cannot explain why there is a different serial number on the receipt and guitar, it's just too long ago to recall that, but you wont get any information from Gibson because although this guitar was started during my tenure at the Custom Shop, I took it with me when I left, and so it ended up getting completed after I left Gibson, and so it became somewhat unofficial. Well it's good to get that cleared up ...

Well it's good to get that cleared up ... It's the bit just before that: "From Roger Griffin: If in fact that is Bob Vosgien's guitar, then I certainly did build it". Notice the "if" word there. Hellzero
In fact, there are lots of conditional sentences in this "authentication"...
