Twanger Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 I just caught it out of the corner of my eye as I was running for a train just before six. A three piece - guitar, bass, drums. The bass sounded astonishing for an outside pavement gig. Don't suppose anyone else happened to be in the area and catch it? The cab looked like a 1x10 or 1x12.... 1 Quote
Fenderjazz1 Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 If its same 3 piece doing instrumentals as i saw last summer he was using a markbass combo not sure of speaker size. I had chat with bass player and he had it powered with golf cart battery. Amazing sound till they got shifted by city police lot. Apparently they are there as regular spot. Good pub as well. Quote
Davo-London Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Is this the same 3 piece that plays in Tooley street by the Shard? I'm always impressed by them. The bass player has an Ibanez I believe with the ugly large headstock. Quote
Twanger Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Dunno. Not a trio I've seen before. I literally just caught a glimpse as I ran past. The bass was maple neck, it sounded Fendery, but not a Fender headstock. Wasn't a Markbass combo (at least not a yellow coned one) I think. Quote
